Marjorie Kellen comes from Belgium. She left this Country when she was 18 years old to study the contemporary dance in Austria, and then choreography in the Netherlands. During these years, she travels from Africa (Burkina Faso, Senegal, Liberia, South Africa) to Pakistan, France, and Poland. These travels are justified by various projects of dance and theatre, the study of traditional dances and social projects.
Then, she works in Corsica as an interpreter and animates workshops of African dance for teenagers and adults. She also joined the compagnie Zutano Bazar for several projects in Le Mans (France).
From 2009 to 2011, she danced within the company of Loreta Juodeikaite in Lithuania and took part in the rounds in England, Turkey, Lithuania and Bielorussia.
From 2012 to 2014, she evolved in Corsica, as a choreographer and director for mixed amateurs/professional troops in dance and theatre.
From 2011 to 2015, she worked with Marion Lévy and Cie Didascalie for a show which in dance and theatre meet: “In the belly of the wolf”. She animated many teaching projects in Paris and in the places of rounds, whose projects “Dance at school”.
She undertakes, in parallel, a collaboration with the musician artist Hyacinte Maze and the Silènes Company in Rennes.
Very recently, she became an external regard for the show “Tell me, what you dance ?” with the 6th Dimension Company and she participated in their teaching projects.
She is also an assistant choreographer for the Zutano Bazar Company and she works again on a Florence Loison’s creation: “Since I am curved” in Le Mans.
Finally, in 2016, she will start a collaboration with the Point Virgule Company for the project Residence Eclat within several schools of Élancourt (Paris region).
