Sandra Geco

Classical, hip hop and contemporary dancer, Sandra started dancing at the age of 5 with a classical and jazz training in Roanne and won numerous prizes at national and international competitions (such as the Belgian Grand Prix in Dinan). Then, she studied at the ESDC: Ecole Supérieure de Danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower, (Rosella Hightower Superior School of Dance in Cannes). She also studied at the Young Ballet of the Geneva Dance Center in Geneva (Whose director is David Allen “former Star Dancer of the Ney York City Ballet”) and participated in the Collegiate Summer Intensive at the American Ballet Theater.

In 2008, she moved to Paris and discovered Hip Hop dance. This allowed her to broaden her professional horizons: concerts, videos and shootings for sportswear/cosmetic brands (Bolshoï Theater, Adidas “Is all in”, Estée Lauder…), TV (report with Nils Tavernier, television film “Snow white: A Deadly Summer” and TV shows), Events (Novotel, Eiffel Tower, Samsung launch, Renault Convention…) and the musicals Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme” and Adam et Eve, la seconde chance” by Pascal Obispo. Simultaneously, she kept on working with companies such as “la compagnie Hybride” (choreographer Lionel Hun Cirque du soleil”) and the company of the National Theater of Chaillot (choreographer José Montalvo).

Developing her own style made of the mix of classical technique and different Hip hop techniques, she danced for the first opening performance of the show “Juste Debout” in Bercy with a mix of classic and popping.

With a wealth of experience from her last three years working with the “Ultima Vez” company (choreographer Wim Vandekeybus), with whom she discovered another physicality of the movement, another look towards dance and a singular contemporary technique. Today, Sandra continues to develop her mixed style which has been enriched by all her new experiences, from classical to contemporary through hip hop and then joined the company “6th Dimension” in 2007 as a performer for the show “Tell me, what are you dancing?”
